The Royal Orient is one of the world's most exotic trains. It is a rare delight, an experience that will take you back in time to the age of the Maharajas. The train takes you through the two culturally fascinating states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
A joint venture of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat and the Indian Railways, the Royal Orient promises you seven memorable days and nights. Your experience on the Royal Orient will be unique and unforgettable; in a luxurious setting with personalized service from liveried attendants. There are thirteen coaches and saloons, inspired from the mighty kingdoms. The train is fitted with all the modern conveniences you would expect in a first class hotel. Air-conditioned ambience keeps the temperature down to 15 degrees. Every cabin is clean, comfortable and furnished tastefully. The cabins have spacious baths attached to them, equipped with running hot and cold water. There are multi-cuisine restaurants to tickle your taste buds, as well as a bar- The Watering Hole with all your favourite drinks. There's even a library on the Royal Orient if you are looking for a quiet laid back time.

TOUR PROGRAMME
Day 1- Journey Starts from Delhi Cantonment Railway Station.
Day 2- Arr. at Chittaurgarh Railway Station, visit Chittaurgarh Fort.Dep. for Udaipur, Breakfast on board.
Arr. at Udaipur. On arrival transfer to hotel for lunch. Post lunch visit the City Palace, boating at lake Pichhola, Sahelion-ki-Bari(Royal Gardens), Shilpgram (Craft Vilage) Dep. for Junagadh. Dinner on board.
Day 3- Visit graceful destinations of Mehsana, Ahemdabad in Gujarat.
Arr. at Ahmedabad via Himmatnagar. Operational halt for one hour.
Dep. for Junagadh. Breakfast and lunch on board.
Arr. at Junagadh. Visit Ashokan Rock Edict of 3rd century B.C., Darbar Hall Museum, Mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khanji.
Dep. for Veraval.
Arr. at Veraval. Visit Somnath(the famous Shiva temple on the shore of the Arabian Sea.) Dinner on Board.
Day 4- Sasangir, Ahmedpur, Mandvi famous destinations in Gujarat.
Dep. for Sasan Gir.
Arr. at Sasan Gir. Visit Lion Sanctuary after early breakfast on board.
Dep. for Delwada. Lunch on board.
Arr. at Delwada. Visit Ahmedpur Madvi Beach and Diu. (Fort and St. Paul's Church)
Dep. for Palitana. Dinner on Board
Day 5- Palitana, Sakhrej
Breakast on Board.
Arr. at Palitana. Visit 863 Jain Temples atop Shatrunjaya Hills. (3572 steps can be climbed or please use the chairslings arranged for you if you so desire.)
Dep. for Sarkhej. Lunch on Board
Arr. at Sarkhej. Visit Vishalla village. Dinner at Hotel(From Sarkhej to Ahmedabad by bus.)
Day 6- Ranakpur, Udaipur, famous heritage destinations in Rajasthan
Breakfast on Board. Sightseeing of Ahmedabad(Adalaj Stepwell, Gandhi Ashram, Calico museum of Textiles, Sidi Sayyad's Mosque, Shopping etc.).Lunch at Hotel. Dep. for Jaipur. Evening tea and dinner on board.
Day 7- Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan
Breakfast on board.
Arr. at Jaipur. Visit of Amer Fort and an Elephant ride via Hawa Mahal. Lunch at Hotel. Visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar(Observatory)
Dep. for Delhi. Dinner on Board
Day 8- and here we are back to Delhi. Journey ends at Delhi Cantt.
The Royal Orient Train Itinerary:-
The Royal Orient will operate on every Wednesday w.e.f. 24th September 2003 onwards from Delhi Cantonment.
Best Season: Oct. to March
Off Season: April to Sept
TARIFF INCLUDES
Cost of travel, full catering (morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner), conducted sightseeing tours in A/c delux cocaches, enterance fees for monuments and palaces visisted, cultural entertainment, elephant ride at Jaipur, boat ride to and from Lake Palace Hotel at Udaipur, still camera fees and on e bottle of mineral water per person per day.
TARIFF DOES NOT INCLUDE
Liquor, extra mineral water, laundry and other personel expences.

- Bookings : At booking beyond 30 days of train departure - 10% of the price 30 days and less from train departure - 90% of the price.
- Mode of Payment :You can make your payment through Credit Card or swift money transfer.
- Cancellation Charges
1)Rs. 300 per person - For booking cancelled beyond 45 days of train departure date.
2)10% of the price - For booking cancelled between 45-30 days of train departure.
3)50% of the price - For booking cancelled between 29-15 days of the train departure.
4)100% of the price - For booking cancelled less than 14 days fo train departure date.
